IAFCU was founded on the credit union philosophy of People Helping People. As a not-for-profit organization, volunteers play important roles in our success. We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help serve in a variety of volunteer capacities. If you’re interested in volunteering, send us an email request.
We are looking for help in reaching the community. If you are local, stop by or call – there’s always something interesting to do. Many volunteers with us and our sister organization, Lazos, are getting credit at their college for volunteering.
We’re located at (at the corner of Kirkpatrick and New), on the second floor. Ask for Xochitl or Jordan.
Board and Committee Volunteer Opportunities
Each year, IAFCU looks for qualified volunteers to fill vacancies on our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee. Our volunteers are critical to building and operating a healthy and prosperous credit union.
Board of Directors Overview
Our Board of Directors consists of seven volunteers whose main responsibilities include: overseeing credit union operations, establishing and monitoring the credit union’s strategic plan, and ensuring that the credit union operates in a safe and secure manner and by keeping our members’ best interest as a top priority.
Supervisory Committee Overview
Our Supervisory Committee ensures the financial well-being of the credit union as well as the prompt preparation of accounting records and reports. This committee acts as the members’ “watchdog” and makes certain the credit union maintains its standard of excellence and that all regulations, procedures, and policies governing Internet Archive Federal Credit Union are followed.
